Who operates Bobek Tools

Bobek Tools is operated by Bobek Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 5951382.

Information handled by the tools

Tools that work in your browser

Password generation, text conversion, unit conversion, time-zone conversion, emoji searching and most colour tools run locally in your browser. Bobek does not receive the passwords, text, measurements, dates, saved cities, emoji choices or locally uploaded images you use with those features.

Preferences saved on your device

Your theme, colour history, emoji favourites and recent emoji, preferred emoji tone, unit favourites and history, and selected time-zone cities may be saved in your browser’s local storage. This information stays on that device unless you clear it. It is not synchronised to Bobek or an account.

QR code generation

The QR code generator sends the text and colours you enter to the Bobek server so it can create the PNG. The generated image is assigned a random identifier and is automatically eligible for deletion after five minutes. Bobek does not use QR contents for profiling or advertising.

Images supplied by URL

When you ask the colour picker or image editor to load an image URL, the server temporarily retrieves that image so your browser can use it. Colour-picker images are sanitised before they are returned; editor images are validated and relayed without being intentionally saved by the application. Files selected directly from your device remain in your browser.

Image editor exports

The image cropper renders a new file in your browser. The exported image does not include the source file’s EXIF record, camera details or GPS location metadata. Local HEIC and AVIF codecs are downloaded as website assets and process image data on your device.

Security and technical information

The website uses a short-lived secure session to protect forms and apply abuse limits. QR and image-URL requests may create temporary rate-limit records derived from an IP address; these records are used only for security and are eligible for deletion after one hour.

Like most websites, the hosting server may also record technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, response status and referring page. These logs may be used to maintain security, diagnose errors and keep the service available.

Google AdSense and consent

Bobek Tools uses Google AdSense to fund the website. Subject to your location and consent choices, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information and interactions with ads to deliver, limit, personalise and measure advertising.

For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, Bobek intends to use Google’s certified consent-management platform. The consent message lets eligible visitors consent, decline or manage advertising choices before technologies requiring consent are used.

Sharing buttons and external websites

Bobek does not contact a social network merely because its sharing icon is visible. If you choose WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Pinterest or a device sharing option, your browser opens that service and its own privacy policy applies. Copying a link does not send it to Bobek.

Links to PublicDomainPictures.net, LingoLifto.com and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy notices.

Why information is processed

Where data-protection law applies, technical information is processed as necessary to provide the requested tool and for Bobek’s legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and operating the website. Advertising storage or personalisation is based on consent where consent is required. Legal obligations may also require limited processing or disclosure.

How long information is kept

• Temporary QR images: eligible for deletion after five minutes.
• Application rate-limit files: eligible for deletion after one hour.
• Browser local storage: until you clear it or remove the saved item.
• Secure session information: short-lived and subject to the server’s session-expiry settings.
• Hosting and security logs: retained only for operational, security and legal needs under the hosting configuration.
• Google advertising information: retained according to Google’s policies and your consent choices.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive information in a portable format. Because Bobek does not create accounts or persistent user profiles, it may hold little or no information that can be linked back to you.

You can clear Bobek’s locally saved preferences through your browser’s site-data settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

UK visitors may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the tools, advertising configuration or legal requirements change. The current version and its revision date will always be published on this page.
